About Us
Our Church
Coleraine Independent Methodist
Welcome you to our Web site!
You will find us at:
148 Ballycastle Road, Coleraine BT52 2DZ Northern Ireland
You will be very welcome to any of the activities in our Fellowship as we are happy to welcome all ages. We are a community of ordinary people who have come to know and love the Lord Jesus Christ, and want others to come to know Him too.
When you come to visit us, you will discover that the Bible is at the centre of all that we believe and teach:
That because of Adam’s disobedience in the Garden of Eden we are all born sinners and as such are separated from God.
That God, in spite of our sin, loves each one of us so much that He sent the Lord Jesus to take the punishment for our sins which He accomplished at the cross of Calvarywhich we celebrate at Easter Time each year. The Bible calls on us to leave our sinful ways and embrace what the Lord Jesus accomplished for us, and from that moment seek to live for Him. The Bible makes it clear that Jesus is the only Way to Heaven.
If you do not already belong to the Lord Jesus, here are 3 simple steps to come to Him:
1. Admit to Him that you are a sinner – as we all are.
2. Believe that He died on the cross as a full and final atonement (settlement) for your
sins. Turn away from your old ways and ask Him to forgive you and to come to live in
your heart as your Lord and Saviour and to enable you each day to live for Him.
3. Confess Him to others. In Romans 10:9-10 we read “That if thou shalt confess with thy
mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from
the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness;
and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation”.
As a Christian …God speaks to us through the Bible, which is the inspired Word of God. We speak to God through prayer, where we share our heart with our Heavenly Father. As we read and pray ,we discover many wonderful truths and promises, for example that He has promised:
“I will never leave thee nor forsake thee” Hebrews 13:5b
It is important to read your bible. If you do not have a bible we are happy to send you one, and with it we will include a bible reading plan, and as you read, you will discover that the Lord Jesus is a faithful friend who will never let you down.
Jesus said, Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Matthew 11:28
We invite you to come to our fellowship and discover what the Lord Jesus Christ can do for you. A warm welcome awaits. God Bless
